Bologna Itinerary Highlights

During our 10 day stay in Bologna, we will stay in a charming hotel with a courtyard garden and lovely breakfast room. This will be our base in the city center as we explore the food, wine and sights of Bologna and the surrounding area. We will eat the fabulous Bolognese specialties at your hosts’ favorite tried and true restaurants, and even make our own hand-made pastas for a special dinner.

• Day 1: Arrival and Hotel check-in, Happy Hour at Piazza Maggiore, Basilica of San Petronio, Welcome Dinner
• Day 2: Walking Tour central Bologna, Market Tour and lunch, Dinner
• Day 3: Day trip to Dozza, a charming neighboring town of murals, Wine-tasting at a local winery, Dinner
• Day 4: San Luca: The church on the hill overlooking Bologna, Visit to “La Buca”, a VERY special restaurant, a stop at the Fidenza Outlet Mall
• Day 5: Day Trip: RAVENNA The city of Mosaics (this will include a tour of three sites, and lunch), Dinner
• Day 6: Visit to a Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese producer, Visit to a Balsamic Vinegar producer, lunch, Ferrari Museum, Dinner
• Day 7: Cooking Class/lunch, Churches of Santo Stefano, Good-bye Dinner
